Project Description

We were tasked with engraving a logo into a rather weathered wooden oar.  While the engraving was a fairly straight forward process, it didn’t show enough contrast for the artwork to stand out.  We used a traditional prop makers weathering technique to both darken the engraving and distress the entire piece to allow the logo to appear aged with the timber.
