Bespoke trophies.
We were given the brief to create 90 awards for Straumann UK featuring an enlarged dental implant mounted on an acrylic base.
We began by modelling the implant on CAD software and 3d printing it in the desired scale. These models looked great but didn’t have the finish required to resemble the metallic finish of the actual implant. So we then moulded the models and cast them from a mixture of polyester resin and aluminium powder…
Each model then needed a spot of sanding and some thorough polishing to bring out the shine of the aluminium. A texture was added to create an more anodised effect on the bottom half then they were mounted on the bases to produce 90 awards for Straumann’s loyalty customers. And here they are…
