Project Description

As part of a product launch for a new Kodak mobile lens, we were commissioned to produce corporate model paperweight versions of their product as scale replicas. Combining both product model and prop we were faced with the task of showing intricate detail and graphics but also allowing for the pieces to be handled regularly along with being weighted and robust. We broke the part down into a few components and made a master of the bulk of the part. This was then moulded and cast with an aluminium thihydroxide weighting powder in the resin. The pieces were spray painted, assembled and transfers were applied before lacquering. We also laser engraved gift boxes for presentation.
